Is it possible to abolish an O2 Simplicity contract contained by an O2 store?

My current phone broke and I am getting a new O2 phone on contract sometime in the subsequent few months, and I want to cancel my current Simplicity contract. The reason I want to annul the contract is that it is a lot easier than it is to upgrade, since the extra price of the handset will be rewarded by someone else and the bill will be paid by me (on top of other things I won't bore you with). I also need the phone on the time that I order it since I am currently pretty much phone-less and would prefer to buy it from a store rather than online. Also, on the sour chance that I have to dawdle until after christmas for my new phone I don't want to have to pay packet a bill on a SIM card that I can't use.
I rang O2 customer service and they were trying to homily me into simply upgrading. They were completely unhelpful and didn't appear to want me to cancel...I even said that I would prefer to just withdraw and when I was trying to explain why I could barely seize a word in. Needless to say, this pissed me rotten.

Is it possible to cancel a contract I signed up for online in an O2 store? I honestly don't want to business with customer services again, and I have found that you tend to bring more help from staff in stores.

Answers:    Hi yes you should know how to cancel it in the o2 store speak to the staff & explain to them how pushy the customer services be & ask them to do it for you ! i know what you mean about customer service because i be on o2 & i changed networks & wanted to take my no. near me & they tried to convince me not to change when i told them i was getting a better promise & what i was getting they couldnt argue because they couldnt beat it they still tried to convince me to stay i replied what word of im shifting networks dont you understand they then replied to me within was no need to be rude so next i asked to speak to a manager who sorted it straight away for me ... hope this helps
